Candidates should be senior scholars with a doctorate, as well as a record of distinguished teaching, research/practice, and/or public service. The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills and experience – or show promise – in a number of the following areas: academic strategic planning; fiscal and personnel management; consensus building; external funding and sponsored projects; communication with leaders in the private, public, and non profit sectors; capital and departmental fundraising; and alumni relations. The Chair of CPRED directly oversees the MCRP program, supervises the MRED Program Director, and works closely with the interdisciplinary PhD program in Planning, Design and the Built Environment.
