Subiaco Academy, a Catholic, Benedictine, college-preparatory day and boarding school for boys in grades 7-12 is seeking applications for multiple full-time positions that include responsibilities in residential life with the ability/willingness to teach in various subject areas, particularly secondary English, journalism, and Spanish I/II. English classes include knowledge of composition, grammar/mechanics, and classics of literature. Fluency in Spanish is imperative along with the skills to teach students at beginning and intermediate levels of the language. The ability to coach soccer, cross country, and track is also desired.
The Fenn School, in Concord, MA, is seeking a one-year, full-time Coordinator for its innovation lab (iLab). The coordinator will manage a three year old innovation lab equipped with iPads, Mac laptops, 3D printers, laser cutter, vinyl cutter, lego robots, and a collection of makerspace tools and materials. The coordinator will work closely with students in grades 4-9 and teachers when they use the iLab with the coordinator. Finally, the coordinator will have an appreciation for working with energetic elementary and middle school boys excited for the projects and learning they tackle in this space.
The Upper School Assistant Dean of Students is responsible for supporting all facets of student life in the Upper School, in alignment with the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education, in concert with the Upper School Dean of Students. S/he enforces school policies and holds students accountable regarding minor disciplinary infractions in keeping with the charism and the principles of restorative justice. Working with the Upper School Dean of Students, the Upper School Assistant Dean of Students plans and coordinates student activities, including specific class events (e.g. Winter Ball and Prom), after-school clubs, and the Student Community Governance groups / program. S/he is responsible for lunch supervision and helps the Upper School Registrar with regular attendance as well. S/he attends all faculty and employee meetings, fulfills other faculty duties including Social Action, and maintains good communication with families, as needed.
Kingswood Oxford School, a 6-12 day school in West Hartford, CT, seeks an experienced and collaborative leader to be its next Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (“DEIB”). The Middle School seeks a Dean of Students for grades 5-8. The Dean promotes a culture of equity, access, voice, and joy for young people in the Middle School at BFS and serves the primary purpose of supporting students’ individual wellbeing as well as the collective student culture of the division. Central to the Dean’s role and purpose is to be able to resolve conflict through restorative practices, a growth mindset, and in partnership with families. Together, and in close collaboration with the Head of Middle School, the Dean helps to develop student leaders, facilitate student teams that explore issues in the school (both student and community), and designs innovative ways for the student body to become independent, confident, respectful community-minded thinkers and changemakers.
Saint Mary’s Hall seeks an experienced, creative Director of College Counseling to oversee the college counseling program and provide outstanding leadership and successful innovation in the four-year college admission process. The Director will demonstrate a commitment to the educational goals of all students and coordinate a program that expertly counsels students and families and provides informational support to students, parents, and faculty. The ideal candidate will build relationships with and support students and parents Forms 9 through 12 and be active and visible in the school community. The Director will be an industry leader with knowledge of current educational trends at both the secondary and the collegiate levels and will have established personal associations with key admissions personnel at colleges and universities throughout the country. This position will support Saint Mary’s Hall’s mission to prepare students for success in college and fulfillment in life.
The Inaugural Head will oversee all internal day-to-day aspects of life at Choate, working in a highly relational, visible, and collaborative way with students, faculty, and staff to support their experience in and beyond the classroom. The Inaugural Head has four direct reports: Dean of College Counseling; Dean of Equity and Inclusion; Dean of Faculty; and Dean of Students. In addition, the Inaugural Head indirectly oversees the work of approximately 200 faculty and staff. The Inaugural Head reports directly to Alex Curtis, Head of School, and partners with Dr. Curtis and the senior team in planning and development to ensure that students, faculty, staff, families, and alumni are supported holistically and, in a manner, consistent with Choate’s values and ambitions.
