American Reading Company’s publishing imprint – ARC Press, is a rapidly-growing children’s publisher for beginning readers. We are passionate about helping students become discerning readers, engaged citizens, and lifelong learners. With 750+ titles in English and Spanish for students in grades PreK-3, we take pride in creating trade-quality books for students to learn real science content, learn about the histories of underrepresented people and cultures, and high-interest titles for students struggling to read at all ages.
We are looking for a talented leader with publishing and editorial experience to take responsibility for the generation of new contract for the ARC press publishing house. The Associate editor will work in an apprenticeship with the current Senior Editor – The EVP of Curriculum & Instruction, to learn to manage and produce high quality, appropriate books for the education market. The ideal candidate will have editorial experience in children’s/K-12 educational publishing.
