The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and direction to ensure comprehensive planning and management of academic programs that lead to student success. The primary areas of focus include: budget and resource development; assessment of academic program effectiveness; program accreditation; course scheduling; observation and evaluation of faculty; working with faculty on curriculum development and revision; chairing or co-chairing college committees; as well as creating and supporting articulation agreements and promoting business connections. All decisions must be made within the context of and in alignment with the appropriate collective bargaining agreements; MnSCU policies and procedures; State of Minnesota laws and statutes; Federal Laws; MMB policies and procedures; Anoka Technical College policies and procedures; in addition to promoting the mission, vision, values and goals of Anoka Technical College.
