The Academic Dean is responsible for planning, developing, facilitating, and coordinating academic programs reporting to the Vice President of Instruction (VPI) of Wharton County Junior College (WCJC). The Dean oversees these educational programs to ensure they are in compliance with state and regional accreditation and certification standards and meet any State and/or Federal agency guidelines. The Dean serves as the College’s liaison with the University of Houston on the Sugar Land campus. The Academic Dean is a member of the President’s Cabinet.
