Under the direction of the Associate Director, the IRB Reliance Manager independently manages the reliance relationships between UCSD’s HRPP and outside IRBs, including commercial IRBs and institutional IRBs. The reliance relationships include commercially and federally funded research protocols. Within the scope of the reliance relationships, UCSD participates as both a relying IRB and reviewing IRB.
