Candidates for this pool should be able to teach courses covering the concept of race; colorblindness and post-racialism; multiculturalism; the intersection of race and ethnicity with categories such as gender, sexuality, class, nationalism, indigeneity, and citizenship; historical discourses of difference underwriting social inequalities and movements to redress those inequalities; and research methods and writing in critical race and ethnic studies. We particularly welcome candidates whose courses would provide a comparative or transnational approach to these topics.
