The main learning outcome of this studio-based course is to teach students how to create visual representations of information and data, and learn the skill of visual mapping with a focus on multiple layers of information. The technology used in this class is open to the instructors choice: Tableau, D3, Processing/p3.js, Adobe Creative suite are all options. The design program at USF stresses critical thinking skills, concept development, and visual communication of information.
