The Ohio University School of Music invites applications for a full time tenure-track Assistant Professor and Director of Choral Studies beginning academic year 2017-18. Responsibilities include the administration of a large university choral program, conducting two to three choral ensembles including University Singers, teaching graduate and undergraduate conducting, active recruitment of voice students as music majors, supervision of graduate teaching assistants, service to the institution, professional visibility, and other duties as assigned by the Director of the School of Music. Depending on the experience of the candidate and needs of the school, choral music education classes may also be included.
