The Department of History at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for a full-time faculty appointment at the rank of tenure-track assistant professor in Late Modern European history, with an expected start date of July 1, 2017. The search is open to scholars of all regions and thematic interests in European History since 1800, with a preference for France, Italy, Spain, Portugal as well as Europe and the World, and excepting the history of the United Kingdom and Russia/Eastern Europe.
