The Department of History at California State University, Sacramento invites applications for a probationary, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Middle Eastern history to begin Fall 2017. The successful candidate must be able to teach the lower-division Islamic civilization survey, upper-division courses in Middle Eastern history, and other courses in the area of specialization, including graduate seminars. Field is open but specialization in Ottoman history and interest in working with the CSUS Hellenic Studies program and the Tsakopoulos Hellenic collection of Ottoman Turkish and Arabic manuscripts are desirable.
