The successful candidate will be expected to teach a wide range of undergraduate courses on the Modern Middle East, including large introductory and upper-level courses intended for general students, History majors and Middle East Studies majors. The new hire will be expected to collaborate on academic initiatives for the study of the Middle East and North Africa at UMass and in the Five Colleges.
