STANFORD UNIVERSITY invites applications for a tenure-line, assistant professor position in SOUTH ASIAN STUDIES to begin in the academic year 2017-18. The scholar appointed will be based in an academic department but is also expected to make contributions to the interdisciplinary study of South Asia across the university. The appointment will be in either the Political Science or Sociology Department within the School of Humanities and Sciences. Teaching responsibilities will be determined by the home department.
