The History of Art and Visual Culture Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an on-going pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach full- or part-time, either during the academic year or Summer Session. We seek applications from outstanding candidates with experience to teach historic or contemporary periods in the visual cultures of Oceania and its Diaspora. The members of the department are committed to the investigation of art and visual culture from a wide range of theoretical perspectives. We seek colleagues with secure knowledge of visual materials and demonstrated interest in examining such materials and related issues within contexts of culture and history.
