The Department of History at the University of Oregon invites applications for a tenure-related position in African American history, to begin September 2017. Period and subfield open. This is an open-rank search and part of cluster hire in African American Studies, conducted in conjunction with the Departments of English and Women’s and Gender Studies, that will bring at least three scholars to the University of Oregon campus. We seek to create a cohort of scholars with complementary strengths and shared interests whose scholarship and teaching will enhance the study of race and ethnicity at the UO and help us work toward establishing a comprehensive curriculum in Black Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences.
