Lakeside School’s Summer School Programs is currently recruiting for a US History teacher. Course description: James Baldwin asserted that “the great force of history comes from the fact that we carry it within us, are unconsciously controlled by it in many ways, and history is literally present in all that we do.” This course provides students with a foundation for understanding the modern United States in all of its complexity. It also provides a foundation for active citizenship, exploring themes of power, the establishment of a republican form of government, and the intersection of politics and economics.
