The Department of Anthropology at Appalachian State University invites applications for a two part-time, non-tenure track adjunct positions for the Spring 2017 semester (Biological Anthropology and Sociocultural Anthropology). PhD in anthropology preferred but ABD will be considered. Teaching experience is required. The successful applicant for the Sociocultural position will teach three sections of Understanding Culture, a general education course that exposes students to anthropological approaches to the study of society and culture. The successful applicant for the Biological Anthropology position will teach one section of Living Primates, one section of Human Reproduction from an Evolutionary Perspective, and the possibility of one section of Biological Anthropology or another course of their choosing.
