The Department of French and Francophone Studies at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant or associate professor, beginning fall 2017. We are seeking candidates with a strong record of research and teaching experience in 20th- 21st-century French literature and visual culture. We are a vibrant department with strengths in francophone studies, cultural history, women’s studies, and the digital humanities. The ideal candidate would have an interest and experience in one or more of those areas, but we would be open to other interdisciplinary configurations, especially film studies, with a 20th- 21st-century French literature specialty.
