Lake Forest College seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor with a concentration in the history of the United States in the nineteenth century, to begin in the 2017-2018 academic year.  Responsibilities include introductory-level U.S. history survey courses, topical electives, and advanced seminars, as well as teaching courses in service to the major.  Opportunities to contribute to interdisciplinary programs such as American Studies, African-American Studies, Latin American Studies, and Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies.
