The Departments of Comparative Literature and Asian Studies at Penn State invite applications for an Assistant Professor position (tenure-track) with a specialization in comparative approaches to Chinese literature and culture. We would be particularly interested in work that combines a strong grounding in modern Chinese literature with additional expertise in fields such as early modern Chinese literature (Ming-Qing), visual and digital culture, performance and theater, Chinese diasporic and Sinophone literatures; or with comparative literary perspectives on Southeast Asia, South Asia, Northeast Asia, or Central Asia.
