The University of Kentucky School of Music in the College of Fine Arts is seeking candidates for a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in music theory. Applicants must have a completed PhD by August 1, 2017, a proven record of successful and creative teaching (at least 2 years of successful academic teaching at the college level is preferred), and clearly demonstrated activity within the professional field of music theory. We especially seek candidates whose research interests complement those of the Division of Theory and Composition-desirable interests may include (but are not limited to) electro-acoustic music, analysis of world music, and music cognition.
