Provides the intellectual vision and overall leadership for NPM, its staff, supporters and volunteers, and serves as the key communicator for the Museum to the public and other constituencies. Formulates both high level strategic and operational plans for NPM to achieve its overall mission, defines program goals, objectives, and priorities, and issues policy guidelines, as appropriate, for program operations and consistent with Smithsonian strategic plans and policies.
