The University of North Carolina at pembroke invites applications for a tenure-track position in African-American History at the rank of Assistant Professor. In addition to teaching specialized courses, the successful candidate will teach a two-course
advanced sequence in African-American history, contribute to the general education suvey load in the department by offering an introductory course on African-American history and possibly World or American civilizatons, and periodically teach an historical methods course. Of particular interest to us are candidates who can also develop upper-division course in the history of the American South, the Atlantic World, or Sub-Saharan Africa.
