The Department of English at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, invites applications for a full-time nine-month tenure-track position at the level of assistant professor to begin Fall 2017. Specialization: African American Literature, with a preference for the nineteenth century. We especially welcome candidates with additional expertise in one or more of the following: Afrofuturism, Afropessimism, Womanism, gender and sexuality, interdisciplinary collaboration. The normal teaching assignment is two courses per semester.
