The Department of History at Amherst College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in Medieval and Early Modern European history, beginning in the fall of 2017. The area of specialization is open, but we particularly seek candidates who will offer a broad range of courses, including, but not limited to, those that cross conventional chronological boundaries between the medieval and early modern periods.
