The University of Florida Department of History seeks to hire a specialist in 19th or 20th century Latin American history, excluding Brazil and the Caribbean. This will be a full-time, nine-month, tenure track position at the assistant professor level, with a starting date of August 2017. The program in Latin American history at UF has consistently ranked among the top ten in the United States and is greatly enriched by the resources of UF’s Center for Latin American Studies. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to dynamic approaches to teaching and original scholarship and will teach surveys on modern Latin American history as well as specialized courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
