The International Institute (II) at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor seeks qualified applicants for the Ronald and Eileen Weiser Professorship in Emerging Democracies and the Directorship of the Weiser Center for Emerging Democracies (WCED) to begin September 1, 2017. The II is interested in a scholar who conducts research on emerging democracies, broadly defined, and has interdisciplinary interests in the social sciences or humanities. The successful applicant will be a tenured faculty member in a department, such as Anthropology, History, Sociology, or Political Science.
