The Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations (EALC) at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in pre-modern Japanese humanities. Scholars working in pre-Tokugawa history or pre-Meiji literature are particularly encouraged to apply, but applications from other humanists whose work complements that of our current Japanese studies faculty are also welcome.
