Assistant Professor: Contemporary Brazilian Cultural and Literary Studies | Ohio State University
The Department of Spanish and Portuguese invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in Contemporary Brazilian Cultural and Literary Studies. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research focuses on film studies, performance, or visual arts. Candidates must demonstrate an active research agenda, possess a strong theoretical and/or critical orientation, and be committed to high-quality teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Scholars whose work engages Brazilian literary and cultural studies, film, visual arts and music of the twentieth and twenty-first century are encouraged to apply. Interest in Afro-Brazilian culture, as well as ability to establish connections with other regions of the Portuguese-speaking world, or with other areas of the Americas will be given particular consideration
