See full job details here.

The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor to join its new initiative on Race, Gender, and the U.S. Environment. The School of Architecture has established a new initiative to strengthen our teaching and research on the relationship between race and/or gender and the built environment in the United States. Through this initiative, we seek to bring both new perspectives to our faculty and new lenses to our teaching, scholarship, and creative practice. This initiative responds to the particular history of racial oppression and segregation in the U.S., as well as cultural norms regarding gender roles, that have shaped the built and social environments of our cities and continue to affect their design and development.
