The Leibniz Institute of European History (IEG) awards Research fellowships for international postdocs for a research stay in Mainz beginning in April 2017 or later. The IEG awards fellowships for international young researchers in history, theology and other historical subjects. Grants are available for projects in the religious, political, social and cultural history of Europe between approx. 1450 and 1970. Projects in a transnational and comparative perspective or addressing questions of transfer are particularly encouraged, as are topics in intellectual, church and theological history.
