The National Humanities Center invites applications for academic-year or one-semester residencies. Fellowship applicants must have a PhD or equivalent scholarly credentials. Mid-career as well as senior scholars from all areas of the humanities are welcome; emerging scholars with a strong record of peer-reviewed work are also invited to apply.

Openings of this kind sometime occur for teaching evening and summer session, as well as day courses and courses offered through Independent and Distance Learning. The courses are primarily introductory or survey courses. These positions are temporary and part-time.
Case Western Reserve University seeks candidates for a full-time lecturer position beginning January 2017 in SAGES (the Seminar Approach to General Education and Scholarship). Designated as an Anisfield-Wolf SAGES Fellow, the lecturer will lead interdisciplinary, discussion-based, writing-intensive seminar-style courses that contribute to students’ understanding of racism and their appreciation of the rich diversity of human cultures.
