The Metropolitan Museum of Art welcomes applications from scholars of art history, archaeology, conservation and related sciences, education, as well as from scholars in other disciplines whose projects are interdisciplinary in nature and relate to objects in The Met’s collection.
Applicants must come from disciplines that fall under the broad umbrella of the humanities. We are especially interested in candidates whose work contributes to one or more of the following areas: environmental history, film studies, environmental studies, art and art history, media studies, gender studies, religious studies, environmental philosophy, or environmental justice.
The Art History Program seeks to increase its pool of adjunct faculty for entry level and upper level courses, both face to face and online. Courses include Art Appreciation, Comparative Arts, History of Art I and II, Twentieth Century, Contemporary, and courses in non-western fields.

The Senior Curator, Campus and Civic Engagement is a year-to-year Appointed Professional position functioning as a curatorial team leader reporting to the Director of the University of Arizona Museum of Art (UAMA). Leads the museum in creatively engaging diverse audiences, both on and off-campus with the museum’s collections and research through the development of exhibitions, programs, and materials, and in establishing and sustaining strategic partnerships. The J. Paul Getty Museum seeks a limited-term Curatorial Assistant to work in the Department of Sculpture and Decorative Arts, whose collection is devoted to European sculpture and decorative arts dating between 1200 and 1900, with a small group of modern outdoor sculpture ranging from 1910-1980. Under the supervision of the Department Head, the Curatorial Assistant is responsible for performing research-oriented duties in support of routine curatorial tasks, collection management, exhibitions, publications, acquisitions, and other projects.
