Two postdoctoral researchers are sought to participate in research projects focused on mapping and monitoring ecosystem productivity and change, primarily in North America, incorporating climate, land use and disturbance dynamics.
Provide leadership in the application of instructional design theories and methodologies designed to help faculty build and facilitate quality online, blended and web-enhanced courses. Works closely with faculty to ensure their online, blended and web-enhanced courses and instructional content and assessment reflect best practices in online course design, accessibility standards, and copyright policies.
Nine-month Resident Scholar Fellowships are awarded to scholars who have completed their research and analysis in the social sciences, humanities, Latino/a Studies, and Native Studies and who need time to reflect, debate, and write. Fellowships are awarded annually by the School for Advanced Research (SAR) to five or six scholars who have completed their research and who need time to prepare manuscripts or dissertations on topics important to the understanding of humankind. Resident scholars may approach their research from the perspective of anthropology or from related fields such as history and sociology. Scholars from the humanities and social sciences are encouraged to apply.
The theme for 2017-2019 applicants is “Translation, Adaptation, Transplantation.” We seek applications from scholars across the humanities and humanistic social sciences whose research addresses theories and practices of translation in intercultural and transcultural contact zones and transnational circulations. Projects may focus on any medium, historical period, or area of the world, including analyses that work across different media or regions of the world.
The Website & Digital Designer serves as a primary resource for the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of the Darden School’s external websites. Additionally the designer produces digital collateral for Darden’s online marketing campaigns including email newsletters, landing pages, display advertising, social media and e-books. The designer works collaboratively across functions with the goal of providing an online experience that builds the Darden brand and supports the School’s strategic goals and lines of business.
The Director of Online Learning Technologies will support technology-based strategic initiatives for the Distance Learning (DL) unit at Northwestern University’s School of Professional Studies (SPS). The Program in Latin American Studies is launching an open call for applications for its 2017-2018 visiting fellowships. We are looking for top scholars in their field who have teaching experience and will provide Princeton students with a unique opportunity to study topics that are not regularly offered at Princeton. Applications will be accepted from outstanding scholars in the humanities and social sciences, as well as from established writers, artists, filmmakers, or architects working on projects relating to Latin America who are stellar teachers.
Responsibilities include teaching courses and performing administrative functions in a program designed to assist first year students in adjusting to the academic demands of the University of Virginia. The instructor will teach multiple sections of a three-course sequence beginning the summer prior to students’ matriculation and continuing through the fall and spring semester. The administrative duties associated with the position include working closely with the director in program planning and implementation.
