Assistant / Associate Professor: Humanities | University of Central Asia

The University of Central Asia is seeking senior humanities faculty members to teach in UCA’s Core Curriculum Year (Year 2) at its UCA’s first Campus in Naryn, Kyrgyzstan. In your role as Faculty Member, you will be dedicated to helping students develop an informed acquaintance with a variety of topics that are related to Central Asia, and that place Central Asia in a global context from a social, political, and humanistic context. While the area of specialization is open, we are particularly interested in candidates whose work has some application to Central Asia and who could design courses in at least one of the proposed areas of inquiry listed: Central Asian History / Global History; Culture, Art, and Identity; Education and Learning / Ethics / Literature; Muslim Civilizations; Mountain Societies and their Environments; Political Science / Comparative Government / Economic Systems; Sociology / Civil Society / Pluralism.
